Theorbo after Vvendelio Venere, Padua 1611
This theorbo is an ideal size for both a solo and a continuo instrument tuned in A. The string lengths on the original instrument are rather unusual (and probably not original), but 78 cm for the fingerboard strings and around 130 - 160 cm for the diapasons seems to work well on this theorbo. The single rose can also be replaced by a more typical triple one.
